MITAA AGM is conducted annually, during the month of September. As per the convention Annual Report of the activities of MITAA, AMITA Trust are presented by the Secretary of MITAA & the Chief Trustee of AMITA Trust. Audited Financial Reports of MITAA & AMITA Trust are also presented to the General Body apart from appointment of the auditors.
On biennial basis a new team of Office Bearers and Executive Committee is elected by the General Body.

After the conclusion of AGM, MITAA takes up events to recognize Alumni under various categories.

Eminent Alumnus : During the FIA Day (generally held in the month of March) one Outstanding Alumnus and one Distinguished Alumnus awards are presented. To honour other equally deserving alumni, based on the recommendation of various chapters in India, Eminent Alumni from different chapters are selected by a panel. Likewise Eminent Alumnus from one of the overseas chapters is also selected by the panel.

Young Achiever : Many of our Alumni, passed out of MIT after the year 2005 have achieved laurels at an young age – getting into Civil Services, Defense Sector, Academia etc. MITAA recognizes these achievers and they are presented with the Young Achiever Award.

Eminent Entrepreneur : MIT Entrepreneurs Association, started few years ago, has many Alumni Entrepreneurs from different chapters. An achiever from this group is also recognized and awarded on the day.

Goldies Award : Alumni who had completed 50 years after passing out of MIT are invited specially during the AGM and mementos are and handed over to them. The Goldies are encouraged to share their thoughts on the occasion. MITAA is thankful to many a Goldie who travel from other cities to be present at the AGM, meet up with their own batchmates and other Alumni and relive their MIT days.
